| In order to support ALP’s growing and influential engagement with Sector Skills Councils and Sector Skills Bodies ALP is looking to recruit for an initial 6 month contract a Sector Skills Engagement Manager. Reporting to The National Development Manager, this exciting new role will build on your knowledge and understanding of the Work Based Learning Sector and the role of Sector Skills Councils. You will play a crucial role in engaging with Sector Skills Councils and other Stakeholder organisations as well as ALP members who act as Skills Champions. You will have a natural ability to network and get things done. You will be the driving force in putting our members at the heart of dialog with SSCs. You will facilitate the achievement of ALP’s SSC engagement strategy which is to develop a strong strategic relationship between ALP and its prioritised SSCs and SSBs which is underpinned by a protocol for working with each SSC/SSB. You will support the work of our Skills Champions who work closely with their SSCs/SSBs. You will be responsible for producing our monthly Sector related news letter Sector Connect which keeps members up to speed on sector related issues. In addition you will seek to grow the number of SSCs who become members of ALP. Salary £33k pa plus benefits, this post is for 6 months in the first instance.
