| Terry is responsible for co-ordinating ALP's regional and sectoral strategies. He leads on engagement with ALP's Regional Chairs and helping them to understand national policy. In addition he is the first point of engagement with Sector Skills Councils and supports ALP's Skills Champions in influencing the sectoral agenda. Terry has worked in the work based learning sector for over 17 years in a variety of policy development and/or operational roles. During this time, he has worked for Leeds TEC followed by a spell at the DfES and five further years in vocational education and training management. More recently he spent two years as Apprenticeship Frameworks Manager at Improve Ltd the SSC for Food and Drink Manufacturing and has joined ALP following a year at a College in the north-east where he headed up the work based learning department including Train to Gain and Apprenticeship contracts. |
