| Before joining ALP in 2005, Chris undertook a 2 year secondment with the Learning and Skills Council, from her substantive post with Connexions, where her role was to manage and implement strategies for the improvement of work-based and e-learning provision. Chris joined ALPs Senior Management team in 2007 where her main role as Director of Business Development, is to manage and facilitate the delivery of Government funded projects for the work-based learning sector. This includes a £10m programme to encourage the development of innovative approaches to learning within the sector via the Learning Innovation Grant project (LIG). The LIG programme support the delivery of the e-learning strategy Harnessing Technology. She is also responsible for the management of the increasingly important and growing Third Sector activity for ALP.
